Can a doctor tell if you tried to lie that you have amnesia?

I’m just wonderin’… I saw this in “Lovers in Paris” where the guy convinced the girl that he has amnesia… But is this possible? can anyone scientifically explain this?

   If you have named your symptoms right, sure you have a chance. Doctors take your word on it. Why would they think you would lie about that. However, if they give you a brain scan, then you better be worried. “I’ll just use this metal bar to dint my head in a few times…”

   Well of course im not confident, because I’m not a doctor but over the years doctors have become more and more intelligent so I’m sure they can tell if your lying about AMNESIA!
