I think moving out of town, but not too far away might be a good idea..It would give you and your son a fresh start.

i would ask my son how he feels about staying or moving?, let him know his opinion is very important to you yet the adult responsibilites do not fall on his youthful shoulders.
tell him honey i’m fine with whatever you want, [btw--i am sorry for your heart ache,]
